Brangus Members Excel at the 24th Annual San Antonio Livestock Show All Breeds Bull & Commercial Female Sale

The past two days have been very busy and exciting at the San Antonio Livestock Show. Year after year the All Breeds Bull and Commercial Female Sale continues to make its mark on the cattle industry with record-breaking prices that prove that the cattle market is thriving in the state of Texas. This year even the early birds were hard pressed to find a seat, as the sale facility was packed with cattlemen and spectators from across the nation.

For the International Brangus Breeders Association it was especially exciting due to the great premiums brought by Brangus consignments! The sale consisted of 555 commercial females sorted and sold as pairs or bred or open heifers, as well as 56 breeding age bulls.

The consignments were judged by experienced cattlemen from all industry backgrounds. Brangus was among the top ten high grading bulls selected, and was sorted among the top ten pens in each female category as well. It was a great day for Brangus and the cattle business as a whole!

The following sale results speak for themselves with a gross sale total of $823,300. Prices were $460,250 for the females and $363,050 for the bulls, for an average of $5,020.12/head overall. Females averaged $4,184.09/head, and bulls at $6,723.15/head. Needless to say it was a great sale! Congratulations to the following top Brangus consignors for this years sale!
